G'day, I'll be traveling to and from Europe soon and I'm looking at booking a reasonably priced multi class ticket under a Qantas codeshare on Emirates as I'm trying get Gold status with QF and I'm only about 160 status credits away. As it stands my plans are as follows:

ADL-DXB Business on QF 8441 (EK441)
DXB-CPH Economy on QF 8151 (EK 151)
---------
AMS-DXB Economy on QF 8148 (EK 148)
DXB-ADL Business on QF 8440 (EK 44))

Has anybody had any luck scoring comp or op upgrades for their economy sectors on multi class tickets with emirates before? Noting that I am only a junior member (blue) of EK Skywards and hold status only with Qantas. Also wondering if I am entitled to chauffeur service on both ends given that business class is only on one sector?'

Many thanks.

I'd say you're entitled to it at ADL, when arriving in DXB from ADL (if you're going to stay), and when leaving DXB for ADL (again, if you stay on the way back)

I got an upgrade no both from Dubai to Istanbul for last Sept flight. I also got an upgarde at the desk in Mel for the A380 leg to Dubai.
So I would think you ill get one OK. But it depends on the Class of the economy ticket wether you get it over the phone or at the desk, and also loading of coarse.
