Hi all,

Just a quick question. Have any WP's (not P1's) been declined an "F" upgrade from "J" recently on the A380. I have flown "J" a few times and am more than happy. Therefore have never really considered upgrading because I don't tend to hold onto my points for long. I have applied for an upgrade in Sep and Nov to LAX (from MEL). Strange that both of these flights already have 4 and 6 "F" seats allocated respectively. Do you get a better change if you apply earlier? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I'm 2 from 2 so far this year ex MEL.

I believe you do get higher priority amongst WPs if you apply earlier than other WPs and you really have applied early!

I applied for an upgrade from syd to lax when platinum plus partner gold in march which didnt come through. Next flight lax - syd no application for upgrade, get op-upped from business to first.

Oh gotta love that  feels sooo much better when its free.

Decline twice recently - SIN-LHR in February and LAX-SYD in April. Plane looked pretty full in all classes for both. Previously has two successes SIN-LHR.

One from one requests on A380 (WP) and one from one on 747 (gold at the time)

edit to add: good luck :) Although F is pretty good, the really big step is from Y to J IMHO
