Upgrade question

Travelling soon on BA friend and I are going LHR-PRG-LHR.

I am a Qantas OWE traveling on a OW Award in Business, My friend is in Y. Can I use my QF points to upgrade her to CE?

No, you can't upgrade a BA flight (or a QF codeshare) using points. Also, there is the issue, even if on a QF flight, that a friend doesn't fit into the extended family rules that QF dictates for upgrade sponsorship... Then again, we're all related to everyone else in some way aren't we?

Aside from being able to sit together, J is so not worth it internally in Europe, it's just an economy row with a blocked middle seat.

You'd be better of downgrading to Y if you want to sit together, you wont notice any loss of legroom etc vs. flying in "J"

IIRC BA have gone back to the old-style seat adjustment (rather than blocked seat). You get a wider seat, and some better food. But certainly nothing to write home about.

Depends some planes have the variable middle seat, some just a seat blocked. I was an A320 of BA the other day and it was different on either side of the cabin.
