Upgrade not available

Well for various resons I will be flying EK in Sept to Istanbul. I have got an upgrade without any both on the Dubai to Istanbul leg, but there are no upgrades on the Mel to Dubai leg.
Is this a regular thing, or are upgrades available for higher level of FF members.
Can anybody advise me on this????

No EK A380 on the 13th Sept.

Maybe all award seats are gone. Have you tried to search on QF for award seats on EK metal on the days you want to travel?

You'll need to wait until much nearer your flight. MEL-DXB may clear for an upgrade, but maybe not, as this is a very popular sector. You'll just have to keep checking. Also depends on what type of fare you have.

As for me, I'm EK Gold and am flying to LGW from SIN in September. Can't get an upgrade on the DXB-LGW sector (the only one worth bothering about) either.
