Finally after a few false starts its up and running.

HHonors Security Alert: Update your password now and earn 1,000 HHonors Bonus Points.
As of April 1, 2015, all members will be required to update their PIN, or current password, to a new and secure password. Update your password now by visiting the Personal Information section of your account profile

What are the Terms to receive the 1,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points?
Offer applicable for accounts that have been opened prior to 3/12/2015. Offer valid only for existing HHonors members that create a new password of at least 8 characters, contain at least 1 upper case letter, and contain at least 1 number or 1 special character between 3/12 and 3/25.


Note that if you managed to create a password previously, you need to update it to get the 1000 points.

If you have a password, select “Change Password;” if you do not have a password, select "create username and password."

When will my PIN number be removed from my account? The use of a PIN will be discontinued and removed from HHonors accounts on April 1, 2015.

I finally worked that out. Changed it to the same password. Had to do SWMBO's as well. Her response when I mentioned the 1000 points was "I knew there'd be points".

Does anyone know if the points will keep an account active (son last stayed one year ago & we don't want to lose the points).

I am sure I read that it will not keep an account active somewhere on flyertalk.

I just checked and someone had asked the same question but did not get a response.They did mention this though "when I received a bonus 500 points recently I was told that it wouldn't alter my expiry date, so interest to know what activity does or does not reset the clock".

Hopefully someone else has a better idea.

I changed my password a few days ago, and have just found out that both the old and new password will log me in
