  • Live trading account opened on July 27th
  • $10k deposit made on Aug 13th
  • Aug 16th: withdrew most of my deposit, as per not making any rather large trading loss(s)
As far as I know, I've made the minimum required for bonus points. Was told over the phone that at least 1 full FX trade must be done within the 1st month or so, with the remaining 4 able to be completed as you wish (thus I've got the points in December, not Aug or Sept).

I made sure 99% of all trades were 5 minutes or more (even if I made a loss), as I would only lose around $100 or so, instead of $10k.

Points earnt for the months are:

  • Sept: 28 QF (Aug trades)
  • Oct: 12 QF(Sept trades)
  • Nov: 12 QF (Oct trades)
  • Dec: 10,000 QF (no trades, but initial deposit bonus as per T&C)

Hmmm, well let us know how you go.

Not trying to be unhelpful but i think itbwould have been a safer bet to conplete the 5 lot trades in relatively quick succession (plus many snaller trades) as soon as you deposited, and all prior to withdrawing any of the initial deposit. And even kept funds in the account until the points posted, all this gives a greater impression that you're not gaming the promotion (this is how they may see it, regardless of the letter of the terms and conditions .

I also asked (in writing) what the minimum trades / costs were.

As with any loss (currency going down just a tiny amount (66.4c to 66.2c), could cost me $1000's!.

So as per the conditions, I wasn't prepared to go bankrupt on a credit card! Don't need to get into great detail, but you can deposit using credit cards, also earning points. :)
