Slattery Auctions have a 757 for sale, I think I'll hold out as heard Mr Trumps hasn't been used for quite a while and it too may be on the block.
I'm curious why Pacific Air Express, the Brisbane-based single aircraft freight company is getting rid of their only aircraft, space parts and AOC. I thought freight was big business at the moment?

Needless to say, it hasn't flown since April and according to the listing is "Sold as is untested", in addition, they want a 10% deposit accompanying any expression of interests... as they say on shark tank "for that reason I'm out".

Regarding Trump's 757 a recent Forbes article suggested the plane needs ~$6m in repairs. A ferry pilot suggested it could fetch $4-5 million to be converted to a freighter but given the interior is apparently worth a lot I don't think that'd happen.

The value in this one is that it comes with an Australian Air Operators Certificate.
I think the AOC is a separate offering... the website indicates three lots; the plane, the spare parts, and the AOC.

Could be. I heard the bloke from the auction house interviewed on ABC Radio Brisbane last week. I’m sure he said it was part of the deal and was the main attraction for serious bidders.

But I was in a meeting at the time, so it’s possible I misheard.:D

I wouldn't have thought that an AOC would be something you could sell. A complete business that has one, perhaps, but not the bit of paper by itself.
