Just back from IPC last night into SCL. IPC had a LAN 789 unserviceable on the Tarmac for over a week (or so the locals said) but it was there the 4 days were were there. The locals said the flaps were malfunctioning and Boeing techs were there to repair, but I'd really be intrigued to know what the actual reason is/was. I did see people working on the wings. Any way to find out???

Cant imagine having a 789 out of service in a 'one flight a day' port is easy to manage for the fleet.
