Unable to get the same fare as shown on ITA Matrix

Hey fellow AFF'ers,

My mate is travelling from SYD-DEL via KUL on MH departing SYD on 25 Nov 2019, return 22 Dec 2019. The fare class on ITA Matrix is N and other websites are only showing/selling Class L or M

I used ITA Matrix to find the fares and was able to snatch 2 adult and 1 child fare for A$2400

However, when I tried to book the fare, on other websites, I couldn't find anything cheaper than A$4000.

Any suggestions on how to get the same fare as ITA Matrix?

There is a website which finds OTAs selling fares displayed on Matrix - see BookWithMatrix - Book flight itineraries from ITA Matrix it's a bit tricky to use and I find that some/most of the time it sends you to what I would call a 'bucket shop' OTA - which I personally find a bit risky but if you Google them they generally seem OK - problems can arise when there are schedule changes etc.

Thanks, I used bookwithmatrix and found the same fare as you (A$1151), but ITA Matrix is giving A$801 as average there's a 300 AUD difference .. wondering if the fare listed in ITAM is right ? or if it's pulling an old fare may be ?

Sorry I don't know much more - not sure how else to find the Matrix fare (presuming you've tried MH directly) - HOWEVER I did try Google/flight and found flights for 2 adults + 1 child for your dates on China Airlines for $2888 for all 3.
