Unable to book QF Codeshare with UL using AMEX Qantas Ultimate travel credit

Hey fellow AFF'ers,

Just got some information that we are unable to use AMEX travel credit to book QF codeshare UL flights !!

I was trying to book SYD-MEL-SIN-CMB-MAA-CMB-SIN-MEL-SYD using $450 travel credit and options with UL was not listed. I chatted with customer service and was told that currently AMEX travel doesn't list or support UL flights and hence QF codeshare with UL is also not listed/supported !

In memory , Amex travel site presents only a subset of flight options. Hence it might not be a great help to use the travel credit and get some status credits from that.

Update :

AMEX AU doesn't support/show direct flight options between Sri Lanka and India. Always shows one-stop via KUL or BKK, or SIN or HKG.

Another way to look at this, as before, AMEX AU doesn't list UL flight numbers, however, shows QF codeshares via BKK

Scenario :

I have got a booking coming up : SYD-MAA via CMB. Now, this is not possible under one PNR when booked via AMEX. I have to book trip 1 : SYD-BKK-CMB (QF codeshare) and trip 2 : CMB-MAA

If I search CMB-MAA on AMEX website, I get CMB-KUL/HKG/SIN/BKK-MAA
