I changed my PRG-LHR-JFK flights on 30/11 to one day later. Even though I wouldn't be going thru immigration, the reports I read indicated that they expected planes to be held back from disembarking and reaching their gates, with delays of up to 12hrs, affecting all passengers, not just those entering the UK. With a 2hr connection, that didn't sound like a fun day.....

Looks like QF isn't allowing bookings for flights to LHR from Australia on 29th December.

I have a bad feeling about this trip! :( I'll probably finish up being diverted to somewhere utterly dreadful...please, please, please not France.

I know it can take a while to get through LHR but a whole month is a bit excessive ;)

LOL. Fearful thinking on my part! I am flying on the 29th November and not looking forward to it at all. I thought QF might have had info up on the site about it, particularly as they are not allowing bookings for flights to the UK on the 29th November.

Can you change to FRA and then hop on the train. into Brussels and then Eurostar to London. It pretty much avoids France and the border should be OK at Waterloo/Kings Cross/wherever it stops in Norf landan/even Ashfield(?) in Kent and then car might be quicker.

Touched down at 5:05 AM (twenty mins early) and cleared immigration and customs by 05:30. :)

LHR looked well prepared and by 11:00 AM UK time no major dramas reported.

If travelling on the Eurostar, you'll pre-clear into the UK in either Brussels or Paris
