Uber Eats in my QFF points activity

Ordered Uber Eats today for lunch, and for the first time ever I'm seeing an entry in my QFF points statement titled "UBER ONE EATS" and dated today. It seems to have credited at a rate of $1 = 0.5 points. I am an Uber One member, and I haven't taken any Uber rides today.

I don't recall seeing anything about Uber Eats becoming eligible to earn points, maybe this is something upcoming that got turned on too early?

Email just dropped - "Pack your bags. From April 15 until June 15, an Uber One membership is your ticket to earning Qantas Points on more eligible rides and Uber Eats orders in Australia.*"

Effective from 0800 on 15th April to 2359 on 15th June.

Looks like a point per dollar on practically all trips and a point per 2 dollars on Eats (over $20).

Also says "Limited to select eligible Uber One members only." As usual, YMMV.

Just noticed I received 10pts on 28 March from "Uber One Eats". Don't recall seeing any announcement about this partnership being extended. Have never earned points on Uber/UE before except for airport rides.

Got an email about this, looks like it's permanent now. Points for both Uber (except x) and UberEats.
Good outcome. Astonishing it’s taken so long for this, which seems like a reasonably obvious commercial partnership, to be locked in.

Prefer the original uber rewards progrwm where all rides earned points which could be converted to QFF points. I only ever need uber X and dont use uber eats so no benefit for me.

Received an email from Uber last week announcing they were bringing back QFF points earn for an unspecified time to Uber One members.

We frequently use Uber, and as a student the Uber One subscription is only $48/year and has been quite useful.

Earn rate is 1 point per $1 on rides, 1 point per $2 on Uber Eats, on top of the existing airport ride benefits.

It’s not a bad way to earn around 2000 pts a month without having to do anything.

I'm really curious about their roll out of this. I've been an Uber One member basically since it launched and I've not received these comms. I've also done eligible Uber Eats transactions since people have started getting them, and nothing's popped up. 🤔

Is it targeted offer?
I made a comfort trip on my Uber 1 account and it does not pay points...

Just stumbled across this as I earned QF points on Uber Eats 29/4 - I use it every couple of weeks and this is the first time I’ve had QF points from something that isn’t an airport trip.

Has now been a month or so since this arrangement launched, but am yet to see any major promotion of it from Qantas or Uber.

In contrast - I recall Didi/Velocity making a big deal of their partnership when it launched.

$4k a month on Uber Eats??
We share one account as a family, mainly my brother uses it nowadays for school drop off/pick up and his work trips around the city. He does sports photography, some weeks can be across Melbourne or even up far north. If it’s somewhere far like Stawell Gift/Broadford Speedway one of us will drive him but most of the time he has to Uber.

The two of us older siblings have cars but we are too busy to be his chauffeur unfortunately.

He is looking forward to getting a car once he gets his Ps next year… and we’ll finally stop spending that much on Uber…
