For anyone who signed up for the UA status match that gave you instant 'trial' status (if approved) there is a good chance you will get Star Alliance gold benefits straight away. We're in Koru Club number two on our way to Buenos Aires. Bags priority tagged. I mentioned.

I mentioned it on check in, provided my UA number, it was added as secondary number to our Airpoints number and new boarding passes issued with fastrack and lounge access.

Big win!

I think there is a 5 year waiting time before you can apply for it again.

Don't intend to be doing it again any tune soon Haplo. It was just fortuitous that I read about it before we left and it worked out. Coming home J so will get all the benefits.

Just signed up for this, what was the rough waiting time for an answer regarding the status match?
