I've just done a booking ADL-SYD-LAX-SFO return in May and was wondering what the lounge access is with UA in LAX and SFO? Was all done on the QF website, so it is all on the same PNR.
I've got 3 hours in LAX and was thinking a shower would be good, but I've always had AA lounge access.
So what do I get with UA - I'm a QF Gold.

It seems today was not a good day to try their website as its down while they merge all the Continental bookings into their site!!!

I wouldn't have thought you would have any UA lounge access, UA being part of *A and all?

<ridiculous_rumour>Is Qantas going to ditch oneworld for Star Alliance then?</ridiculous_rumour>

Currently having a discussion about this with Qantas. If I pull up the bookings tonite, UA is not showing anywhere - they are all AA? QF lady is as confused as I am

UAs system is down while they purge CO from the system.

Yes, I think that may be a problem! QF lady is trying to transfer me to AA with QF flight number.
I know it's my fault, but I still can't figure why Qantas had UA on their bookings! We have established my 2 bag allowance will stand on UA.

Lovely Qantas lady by the name of Maree (in Hobart) got it sorted out, and I'm now on AA/QF flights. I guess its only a small thing, but it means points, status credits, lounge access, and A SHOWER when I arrive!!!!
She is also trying to organize me a blocked exit row seat on the flight home on QF12!

I am now a happy little vegemiter (and I'm not the late foreign minister)

QF will interline to airlines such as UA or NZ when on paid bookings. These options do appear online.

Good result for you though as you would have had no lounge access unless in J/F or *G status.
