Hi all,

I'm looking at flights from Australia to Houston on the Qantas website and have noticed that it comes up with a number of routings that include United flights (UA xx_x), some operated by United and some codeshares (but still with UA flight number). These flights appear on either LAX - IAH or DFW - IAH legs. Does anyone know if these flights accrue SCs and points and if there will be any lounge access. I thought UA was part of star alliance.

Thanks for any help.
