Edit - sorry too tired this was gibberish and shouldnt have been posted

My wifes flights SYD-BKK-SYD on BA havent shown up on her AA account. I checked my expedia booking and thought I had a typo/transposition in the AA number used - but as I typed up my post I rechecked and found it was ok. Just dont know why the points havent posted (mine have).

I was going to try and claim the points online but dont have the ticket number that AA require for online claims - so I think I need to call AA. I also cant currently find her Boarding passes.

Note that you cannot claim mileage credit on-line until after a minimum of 15 days has passed since the flight.

First flight was 27/10 and second was 3/10 so I might have a look round at home for the BPs (I know I had one of them in my bag when I was in Cyprus) and do it all whilst in Singapore next week when I have a few mins down time.

Not sure how I can get round the ticket number problem though...

It will be listed on the e-ticket receipt that you should have received via email.

It should have been but it wasnt (dont know why and I didnt check for it as I never think about it with etickets. Having logged back in to expedia it shows this on the itinerary:

Expedia.com.au itinerary number: 1003660897
Airline ticket number(s): Check back in 24 hours
British Airways confirmation code: A3N2NE

and on the emailed receipt it shows this:

Expedia.com.au itinerary number: 1003660897
Expedia.com.au booking ID: YKAD7S (7)

I am emailing expedia for the information. If they get back to me in the next couple of days I can claim both flights for mrssimongr - then I can steal her points ;)

Edit

Just got off phone with BA (Expedia couldnt help at all) and they are trying to retrieve the booking through a "purge PNR" and told me to call back on Monday - we shall see...

Yes - wow this is a long time ago - how many flights since this :)

BA were very helpful and after a couple of attempts were able to give me the info I need. Points posted and she is Platinum - no flights since then though ... not sure what to do with the 17 K points in her account...

Heh.. reason I picked up on it, I flew J BME-PER and nothing was credited to either FF or AA (had AA number on the booking, and flight in Y PER-BME has already credited) - so figured when the check-in agent upgraded me to J, my AA number was removed altogether...

What's the best way to chase up the flight? I've got a PDF of my BP that I scanned in..

I would advise waiting the 15 days and then doing it online if you have the eticket number. It was very quick after that for me - credited in a couple of days at most I think.

If you dont have the eticket number - I would advise calling whoever you flew with and see if they can give it to you - sooner rather than later :)

Good luck :)
