Two questions about status credit and point earning?

Assuming i am lucky to get upgraded, I am curious to know if i can earn more status credits if i upgraded from PE to J class using points.

A further questions is "can i still earn points and/or status credits if i redeemed a flight using points (surchages also paid by points)?"

Welcome to AFF Yong!

If you upgrade from PE/Y+ to J using points, you earn points and status credits as per your ticketed class, so you will only earn the points and SCs for PE/Y+.

If you redeem points for a flight, you can only earn status credits and points for that flight if it is an Any Seat Award. Classic Awards do not earn points or status credits.
