My friend believes that she saw a tv show featuring SYD and QF, like the BBCs Airport or sevens airways during a trip to Australia circa march 2006 and march 2007. I told her she's dreaming. But is it me whose wrong? I've got £2 riding on this so I need to know who is right and hope fully someone here recalls such a show (which you won't because it never happened).

Maybe it was Jetstar and 'Going Places'

Wasn't there a few QF specials around then? But cannot recall any regular QF shows.

Your friend is right, Channel 7 piloted a show on the east coast markets about Qantas operations at T1 in Sydney and the Domestic Terminal in Melbourne. it was filmed by the same crews as that who did Border Security - from what I understand they were already ASIC carded etc etc. As far as I am aware of the situation, it was quite successful for the first 2 weeks however when it got repetitive in week 3 the audience and subsequently the show died out. Hence airways came about and was more successful because of the people that fly tiger -- always a character or plane load of freaks off to Hobart for a convention or something along those lines. That make for really good TV. In addition it's a warts and all look at Tiger and what they do, where as in the Qantas show nothing ever went wrong. Your friend also might be mentioning the multiple specials on at the time. I think there was 3 or 4 in the series. One each about the jumbo and 707 at Longreach , One about the A380 and I think one along the lines of "Qantas - A true Australian Icon" which was all about the history and where they are going yadda yadda that marketing can create for 6.30 on a Sunday night.

Hope that helps although I would say goodbye to your 2 pounds. lol
