I watched the 2 seasons and enjoyed them, however I don’t know how close to reality the UK medical malpractice investigation process is. The unit operated more like a police unit than a medical investigation unit. So I suspended reality and went with the flow.

Just finished watching the first season of Alien: Earth on Disney+. As a long-time fan of the Alien franchise (excluding the abominations that are the Alien Vs Predator films), I'd been really keen to check out the first foray onto the small screen.

Although it's meant to be set two years prior to the events of the original film, it rewrites quite a lot of the franchise's lore and in that respect, very much comes across as a "reboot" and reimagining of the Alien universe. If you're a stickler for the original movies, you may be disappointed in this series. But if you're open to an alternate narrative of events, then there's a lot to like. S2 has apparently been green-lit, so I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes from here.
