When flying into Turkey recently, I had trouble finding out if Australians required a visa.
In the end, I found that Aussies must have a visa but they are easily obtained at major airports on arrival at a cost of $US60 or 45 Euros but must be cash.
Clearly marked signs direct you to the Visa counter and the whole thing took only 60 seconds although we were lucky there was no lining up.
I note Europeans dont need a visa but us poor Aussies get slugged.

Wow its gone up since I went. I went there with a Kiwi and his visa was free!

Every time the Australian government puts up the price of visas for Turks they reciprocate. So thank Wayne Swan for the recent rise.

Electronic isn't bad... You just need to know your details and use a MasterCard or visa.
I visited turkey late last year, And only applied for my e-visa at the airport before my flight. (Less than 4 hours to arrival). All went smoothly.
