Saw Air Crash Investigation the other night. Seems Turkish had a DC10 go down in the 1970s near Paris due to a cargo door problem that McDonnell Douglas should have fixed 2 years earlier.
Pretty useless factoid. But an interesting place in history that contributed to the demise of MDC. (well if you believe Air Crash Investigation).
Well I'm interested because I'm keen to go to Astana (TSE?) next year and Turkish is one of the few airlines that fly there.
