Hard to see how this appeals, it mirrors TR15/14’s times so it might be helpful for only those with Singapore as an O&D but not a fan of LCCs. But it lacks the feed into the rest of TK’s network, perhaps the hope is there’s enough originating traffic from IST?

But always useful to have an extra option.

SYD-SIN sector now bookable

IST -SYD is showing up on United for awards when I was checking some dates in March next year. Might be possible to book through Aeroplan as well but requires a call.

Interestingly United wasn’t showing any connections from Europe to IST… so I wonder if the IST-SYD is an anomaly?

Fares from $780 return SYD-SIN on various dates in Oct/Nov, not bad at all, that really is near TR’s prices.

@dajop , March 2026 BITRE figures for the percentage of seats occupied is not a good guide to (say) December-January when (at least in one direction: outbound in the former, inbound to Oz for Jan) one might expect to see almost all seats occupied.

But in that Match, of the 35 flights TK operated each way, inbound to Oz saw only 46.7 per cent of seats with a psoterior on them while outbound, utilisation was higher with occupancy at 67.5 per cent.

Based on March, in some 'quieter' months there may not be a need to part with that extra A$95 each way.
