Turkey airlines status match...

I recently emailed Turkish Airlines to request a status match (QFF Gold). - Answers | Trip report | Travel advice - Australian Business Traveller
Just saw this on AUSBT. According to Greg84, Turkish is offering platinum status matches(could be misleading and therefore a turkey ) but a potential fast track to top tier *A. Will try my luck tomorrow.

Yes they only match Platinum, but they only give you their Elite level (gold equivalent) not Elite Plus for the match. I took it and have a few fights booked with them in May. Really just got it for *A lounge access.

Maybe they will feel national pride if all the Star Alliance occasionals jump ship from Aegean to Turkish

TK matched my QFF WP about a fortnight ago. Took them a week after sending in images of QFF card and pdf of last statement. Matched to TK Elite Card (*A Gold). And I'm sitting in the TG Royal Silk lounge at BKK because of it. (not a great lounge, but the shower after MEL-BKK helped)

Likely TK flights to follow in the second half of this year, rather than sticking with oneWorld, so a bit of quid pro quo.
