Just for general information, I have been traveling across the USA over the last week. During this time I have encountered probably the worst turbulence I can remember.
LAX to ORD
DFW to IND etc.
Nasty storms across the country resulting in a lot of clear air turbulence which I hate most.
Seatbelt signs stayed on for almost 4 hours straight on the LA to Chicago leg.
One of my flights from DFW to IND took almost 3 hours as we diverted a long way north of the usual 2 hour trek.
Now I have to get back to LA tomorrow from Chicago. Thinking maybe a few drinks before boarding to calm the nerves a little.
Safe travels!

Though on the East Coast the weather has been perfect.
Predicted to change tomorrow.

Looking closely ... heading over there in a bit over a week with two nights at Houston ...

Hopefully it has settled by the time we are there next month. I'm not scared of turbulence but it does make me a little edgy sometimes if the jolts are big enough.

Im the same. You get used to it after flying enough, but these were BUMPS. Also the plane was tilting side to side if you know what I mean. The reassuring thing was that EVERYTIME it happened, the pilot came across the PA and spoke to the passengers. Told us how long he thought it would last and that he hated it as much as us. (American - AA).

My last flight to the US was turbulance most of the way, but just the ongoing "gentle" bumps. FA's did come around a few times to make sure those of us sleeping had belts on. Those bumps I can handle. The bigger ones seem to result in a pressure in my head which is rather uncomfortable.
