Hi just wondering if anyone know which end does emirate a380 land? South or north at Tullamarine? Son wants to plane watch …obsessed thanks :)

I imagine it would depend on the winds that dictate the direction of the runway although i think its more commonly configured as 34 (north to south). You can take a look at how the planes are landing on the day and it shouldn't change unless winds drastically change.

Watch what the other aircraft prior to the EK arrival are doing, that should be a good indicator. Both times I've been on that flight it has landed on 34.

It’s extremely unlikely to land on either 09 or 27, unless the wind is so strong that you won’t be getting out of your car.

It will be 16 or 34, depending upon the wind. Watch for departures from that runway pair…any 380 arrival will be in the same direction.
 
The best thrill is observing landings from the north. The planes are low and land at the start of the runway which is close.
