Trying to book directly with hotel in America?

Hi all,

I used Hotelcombined to locate a hotel and price.
I then attempted to go direct to the hotel website but google placed me on DAYSINN and does not seem to let me go directly to the hotel?
Or I seem to be only able to get expedia and it is in AU dollars but I want it in US dollars and convert with 28degrees card.
Any tips how to get to the hotel site directly?
Is PRICELINE.com going to beat all other sites?

You may have to use a booking site, maybe Kayak or Orbitz? What about the booking links that TripAdvisor throws up?

you go to Daysinn.com and it takes you directly to the hotel you are after. i just did it! and the price is in USD.

It is not uncommon for on line booking agencies to have cheaper prices than the hotels themselves. They may have negotiated a special deal, or forego part of their commission. They may also be cheaper because of slightly different cancellation terms and conditions, or because they may not earn points in hotel programs etc.
