Trying to book an award flight to India

Hello,

I'm a first time user of this website, and wanting to know if anyone has any tips to book an award flight to India.
I have accrued sufficient Qantas FF points, however they have nil award seats available when I want to travel. Can I use these points to book a oneworld partner flight to India originating from Australia? If possible, how do I do this? Contact another oneworld airline directly? Thanks

If you contact the Qantas f/flyer centre, they may be able to access seats on Cathay.

You'll find you need to book very early on Qantas as its a popular route to India for busines etc.

If you can't get a redemption ticket to India on QF, you might want to see if you can get one to Singapore or Bangkok, or on Jetstar to KL. You could then buy a ticket on Jet Airways from one of these ports to India:
