Troubles in Noumea

Following this thread with interest.

We stay at Le Meridien and usually travel in July/Auguat outside of school holidays but the rates for next year are over $500 a night for an entry level garden room - we usually pay around $240 a night on a breakfast package.

Beautiful day, maybe a little windy, but people out and about everywhere, helped by all the French personnel billeted in the area.

We went to Noumea in 2022 on classic rewards business on points and it was one of the best trips of our lives. We were saddened to hear about the recent troubles and glad to hear it’s all settling down.
