Twice I have tried to post a trip report and by the time I have finishing typing it all and and posting it I have timed out therefore no report done,What am I doing wrong?Terry

Try doing it as a cut and paste from Word or similar, or break it down into a number of posts. You can edit a post for 24 hours after you first post it.

Never had that problem, so can't help exactly, sorry.

If its going to be a long-ish post, I write it in Word, get the pics ready for upload (make sure they aren't large file size << 1MB per pic), then when ready, open up a new thread, copy and past the text, insert pics, preview, edit & post.

I have that problem from time to time so I always copy a long post or ones with pictures before I hit the post reply button.
Then simply pasting it if it disappears into the wild blue yonder.

Actually, drron's post reminds me of a question I've been meaning to ask (I think it will assist the OP as well).

There is an 'Autosave' function, and the yellow notice at the bottom RH corner says 'Autosave' has done its thing. But how do you get the saved stuff back?

When you log in check the 'remember me' button and you'll stay logged in until you log out.
