According to seats.aero, TOS to HEL on Finnair is available to book using Qantas points for 14,000 points and 392NOK. But when I go to QFF site I can't input Tromso as a departure airport.
I rang 1300 512 482 and they also said that Tromso isn't a valid airport they can book from either. HUTA? Or is there a better number to call on? I am lowly bronze now.
Is seats.aero wrong? Or am I reading it wrong? Actual date I want to fly is 23 July 2025.
Or do I just have to pay cash on Finnair site?
Grateful for any help.

To check if valid airport try doing a multi-city booking adding a SYD-MEL or other domestic flight where there is always availablity first on a date in June and then add the TOS-HEL on you required July date as the second flight.

If this works, then HUACA, as its just a currency issue as QF dont issue tickets in NOK, ask for it to be costed in AUD. If not available on multi-city with an Aussie first leg either then you are probably out of luck.

FYI the above worked for me when looking for HEL-KEF previously.

Thanks. Can't choose Tromso in multi-city. But can choose other norwegian cities! Looks like seats.aero is wrong and I'll need to pay cash.

You should be able to book this over the phone with Qantas. Trying hanging up and calling again :)
I have tried multiple times to call and I was told "this is not available to book even over the phone". Maybe I have just had bad luck with phone agents. I finally gave up and used Alaska miles

The day before you can get a one-way morning flight for about AUD $200 (about 30% cheaper than 23/7). I have done some QFF awards on AY in Scandinavia but they usually work best then doing a return from HEL and in your case, I'd go direct to the cash fare.

It should be available, but sounds like you need to get the right agent. Which is very difficult to do if you don't have Qantas status. It's a shame that Qantas makes this kind of stuff so hard sometimes. :(

Even as a Platinum QFF member I once had to call 7 times to book a simple one-way award that wasn't available online.
