Trip with F's on a BP. Firsts, family, Food and Fun.

Ther was a bit of drama before we could get on the ferry. My Amex was not accepted twice. I have learnt you don't try a third time. No worries I will use my C BA M/C. It was declined. However I do have the CBA App so opened it up and there was a message was tht you in Zurich. Yes so went back and accepted. Just as well as I had no CHF and s it turned out did not need any..
Our ferry arrives.View attachment 478450

If I may ask, what do you think was the issue with your Amex @drron ? Had you used it successfully in Zurich?

We reached the end of the lake. Quite a nice town.

Most people got off here but some stayed on. We bought a ticket for the 4.5 hour cruise but in fact it was an all day ticket and you could hop off and thn catch another ferry. or just cruise to this end and catch a train back. they ran down either side of the lake and were frequent.
however we don't have the stamina now for full days so we were happy to cruise back.

When we are on holidays now it is usually just 2 meals a day so having breakfast means our second meal is a late lunch or early dinner. Our lunch this day was a little late so that night just a drink at the hotel I had different beer.

My hot dish the next morning just poached eggs on toast.

So today it was one of my unplanned walks. I set out first for the Universities Botanic gardens. Headed into some upper class area.

And I come to a little stream called the Schanzengaben.

No space wasted with water polo nets and a slalom course.
IMG_4724.jpg

It forms a boundary to the botanic garden.

The stream does a right angle turn and forms another boundary of the gardens.
IMG_4729.jpg

There was a lot of work going on in the gardens. So I headed towards the Railway station.
