Starting off with the views from the Museum.




This photo is of a French word I will always remember. Pompiers.


Because in my first year in high school our french Teacher who was known by us as Lucky asked us to write a French sentence using oeuvre, I wrote S'il vous plait oeuvre les fenetres pour les pompiers. He thought it was a very good sentence.
Our school was in only it's second year since opening. They were short of teachers so enticed a few teachers back. Mr.Child aka Lucky was one of them. He stayed as our French teacher for my 3 years of french.






















A wine tasting was included with the entrance fee. strictly one glass only. I chose this one.


I enjoyed it.
My glass at a strange angle. They wouldn't let me put my walking stick on the bar and as a man multitasking is difficult.


The exhibits on the lower floor were interesting. I did get embarrassed sitting outside the shop waiting for others to go back to the bus. The set were incredibly low and I just could not get up. The smallest woman in the crowd came and helped me up. She was from Thailand.

Those photos of Bordeaux have bought back a lot of good memories. But where have all the people gone? Compared to mid-June the streets are absolutely deserted!

No one wanted to be caught in the Union protests. Apparently they ended up not as bad as many other parts of France. These photos were taken on the day of the protests.

Egad. A flying saucer has embedded itself in the riverbank, narrowly missing a tour boat. Did no-one notice?

I'm trying to decide if I go to Bordeaux next year when I drive up Brittany and Normandy. Haven't seen much to encourage me (vs other places further north). Maybe its the lack of people.

I really like Bordeaux - it's got a lovely ambience. Contrary to most people I wouldn't bother to go to the https://www.laciteduvin.com/en I did go but didn't find it that interesting because I suppose we have a wide knowledge of wine here in Australia
