Currently I am sailing to Singapore on a ship, our company tried to charter a QANTAS plane to repatriate us, (31 Aussies) back to Australia after we deliver the vessel to the Dry Dock in Singapore. The Singapore government denied the request, so travelling back to Australia on another chartered vessel. We have all been tested and are virus free, I will have 2 lots of isolation coming home, 2 weeks in Perth, less the time taken on the ship back from Singapore, fly to Tasmania and complete another 2 weeks. My 3 week work swing, FIFO worker from Tasmania, will be 3 months by the time I walk back in my front door, timing is everything they say!!

Gosh, I think that has broken the Internet today! It's got it all. Covid test. A Ship. Singapore. Another ship. Iso!

Yes, but no flying!! The flight option with the chartered QANTAS 737 flying Singapore to Pt Headland, fuel stop only, sitting on the plane, then fly onto Perth was the companies best option, way cheaper than hiring a charter boat to get us home!

They couldn't get you to Christmas Island, it's only 1600km from Singapore, as opposed to the 4200km to Perth and I also hear there's a good quarantine facility there ;) :p

Enjoy the trip!
