Hi I'm flying to Denpasar in January on JQ35 which departs at 6.45pm. Looking at the QF website it would appear that the F lounge currently closes as 5.30pm. If I get to the lounge T-3, will they throw me out at exactly 5.30pm and send me to the J lounge or will they allow me to stay longer? Also, will the kitchen close at or before 5.30?

Also, are there any other benefits as a WP when travelling on JQi?

thanks for the help in advance!

Cannot help you with your timing question but "Also, are there any other benefits as a WP when travelling on JQi?" nope nada not a single one.

thought that might be the case!!

I did the same flight recently. Ordered a meal in the F lounge at 16:30 and went to Business lounge at 17:30. Bus lounge closed at about 18:00. Luckily the JQ flight was on time.

I scored priority boarding on a NRT-CNS flight back in June as a WP.

In fact, I'm still in shock.

Actually, the First Lounge is closed when the daily evening Flight to AKL is "Further and Final" called for boarding. This is generally a little after 5pm.

Does this mean that the lounge actually closes before the publiscised time or only if empty? Would be a a bit rude if they closed early with people still there waiting for other flights! Clearly closing on time is understandable.

I posted the timing as deliberatly vague.

Those on other flight who arrive when when QF133 is soon/imminent are politely advised the lounge will be closing once boarding the last QF flight is called.

Once QF133 is called new arrivals are directed elsewhere.

I guess the staff want to be cleaned/packed up and out of there by 5:30pm.

Generally lounges will be open until the last flight for there airline has left.

As soon as the flight is called the lounge staff are closing it all down and putting away the last few bits and pieces.

I was in CBR one night and the flight was delayed and there where only a few in the lounge and all the food was covered in glad wrap and they would open it for you and also serve it to you.

Ive caught the QF133 numerous times and can confirm this is what I have seen as well. The staff start advising new people coming in that the lounge is closing and should go to the J lounge.

The buffet "snack" food seems to disappear some days as early as 4pm, however the sit down restaurant is still serving.
(had the pork meatballs for the first time the other day - yummy.)

Last spa appointment is 2:30pm as well - usually booked out by the First class passengers on QF9.
