No battery...but can be powered from a laptop....and I also carry a Lifetrons backup battery which seems to work fine....I haven't tested how long I will get with it yet.

Thanks, am still on the lookout for a battery enabled Travel WiFi router. Unfortunately my tablet doesnt take a SIM card so need 3G wifi on the go.

Does it contain a battery, or you need to power it using USB seperately?

No internal battery. I use a separate lithium battery pack to power it, the sort you can get to recharge mobile phones with. Using a 4800 mAh battery the router lasts about 8 hours with wifi and 3G.

Only thing it doesn't have is a battery.

Does the tablet have a USB port? if so, it can power the router. Obviously this will use up the battery faster, but works perfectly fine.

Transformer Prime, the tablet itself doesn't but the keyboard dock does, battery life is fantastic with the two combined. Actually I haven't tried directly plugging in the USB 3G dongle to it.
