We find our 28 degrees cards take care of all our requirements.we use them at ATMs and as credit cards wherever we go.we have a low credit limit and transfer money from our savings account as needed.we do not pay any fees for withdrawing cash or surcharges on credit purchases.Just get one!

Good advice and used by a lot of people on AFF.

I have one as well but the fees can get a little hefty in Thailand unless you find an AEON ATM which is not that easy outside of Bangkok.

A lot of small withdrawals and you get hit with the 150 baht fee all the time. Personally I found the exchange to be on par, sometimes worse, than the currency exchanges I use in Thailand. Plus I need to doing my banking overseas to keep putting money back on the card.

Much easier for me to travel with cash but need to make sure I do not misplace it/lose it. :(
