Can anyone recommend a decent travel insurance provider for someone with a pre existing condition? I am trying to book a two week holiday for a relative but they have had some medical issues lately and of course most insurance companies are only happy to accept your money when your hassle free. So anyone out there who can recommend an insurer for pre existing injuries which is hassle free (relatively speaking).

I have a pre existing condition that knocks me out from any insurance policy in existence should I have a problem o/s.
I am unable to find any policy that will cover me, however in all my years travelling any disaster that has befallen me had nothing to do with it as I had taken every precaution..after all who wants to get sick o/s???
You will not find any policy that will cover you if its in the standard we won't cover section...I rang the Insurance Ombudsman in melbourne and they had nada.

I have had spine/neck surgery and still went to six flags in California last year and rode the coasters..good planning, great doctor, and knowing your limits..priceless. If you are going to a country that we have a reciprocal medical agreement with you can be ok ie UK for medical to do with pre-existing..

It really depends on what you PEC is, but you'll probably find you have more luck with someone like Vero or QBE.
