I have just paid a large deposit ($15000) for a safari in August 2023. Its too early to book the flights to Nairobi, but the land content gets booked up quickly in peak times, hence my early booking. Am I able to purchase travel insurance for the dates involved which will include this deposit if the travel agency goes bust ? Even though flights havent been booked yet ? I have tried to read through the PDS but am still a bit confused. All advice appreciated thank you. If the travel agency in South Africa goes bust in the meantime, can I claim back the deposit paid on my credit card ?
