I am trying to find the best options for sourcing travel insurance for people over 80 wishing to travel overseas. Any advice

Defence Health cover people over 70 years old so that is probably a good starting place.

Travel Insurance Direct appear to offer it up to and including 80 in certain circumstances (but not, apparently, beyond that age). My mum is not much shy of 80 but was able to insure through them recently without filling in any extra forms or having to get doctors' reports. Just a two minute online sign up. I use them, but have never (touch wood) had to claim.

I usally use Globelink travel insurance for my parents. They provide cover for people aged up to 84 years.
It worth checking them out.
