Travel insurance for heart condition (SVT)

Best we could find this year was Medibank. We bought an annual one which was not much more than the cost of a two or three week cruise. Husband is over 80 and many pre existing including heart and lung. All was covered with a not too onerous extra cost.

The underwriter was the same as Bupa but was a lot cheaper as it covered unlimited cancellation which Bupa did not. Once you put in $40,000 or unlimited cancellation into most policies the price jumps up like crazy.

So just wondering what people think is an ok price to pay. I know the various conditions stack up so that's a factor. When is it too much to travel?

That Medibank one with unlimited cancellation does look promising. Yet they charged $354 for a cruise yet Bupa is just $134. I don't get their pricing. Any of em. Thinking - cruises cost a lot upfront and maybe that's covering the cancellation cost.
