Travel insurance for heart condition (SVT)

Hello everyone,

I have been looking for travel insurances that would cover my pre existing condition (SVT = When my heart suddenly beats very quickly)
So far, All Clear Travel seems to be the best one so far.

I would like to know if anyone has other recommendations?
Of course, it would be great to hear from others who have a similar heart condition who have taken out or made claims from their insurance too.

My spouse recently had a stent inserted. Our standard Amex Credit Card insurance clearly excludes pre existing conditions such as this.

I have looked at AllClear insurance, but it isn't the cheapest, even when stripping out cover for missed flights and a high excess.

Any guidance appreciated for both of us on the forum.

My guideline for insurance is "cover the large potential cost". I never insure the excess on a rental as I reason that is pure profit from a rental and some credit cards will cover. $5000 over decades of car rentals isn't a lot if I have to pay. Medical is clearly something to cover. The trip would be two weeks in Western Europe - Spain, France and Belgium.

Look at Southern Cross Insurance. They covered me with my history of Afib (although I have had an atrial ablation) plus some other conditions that others wouldn't. Hefty premium addition, though (but I don't know what increase was attached to what condition).

Last trip we secured excellent cover with Bupa covering all pre existing conditions , including Ischaemic heart disease (stent)
