After overdosing on christmas mince pies ( and thankfully from tomorrow Its hot cross bun season;)), I was contemplating what the travel universe will look like in 2023. After staring into my wine glass too long I predict :

Travel airfares will crash in 2023!

I offer two reasons to support my hypothesis- Chinese airlines coming back to Australia and the half of Australia coming off fixed mortgages in Q2, 2023.

So on that cheery note, what do you profess for travel in 2023?

Mince pies! They weren’t offered at my feast!!

The pent up demand for recreational and relative visits will weaken but lots of unfulfilled awards travel desires to be accomplished with hefty points bank balances.

I think that a lot of people, like myself, who were waiting for coronavirus to disappear before travelling OS, will realise the virus will be around for the foreseeable future and will start travelling again. I've been travelling within Oz during this year (2022) and last year, but have now booked a trip to London for July 2023. I'm getting excited already 😁.
