Travel Collectors

Mere challenges that make the game more fun.. get a vibe of the hotel about how bolshie things might get.. and have a prepared explanation if challenged .. I have been know to put items in the safe so they get replaced. Also, I only collect special things.
Sorry to those who see my behavior as appalling (like my dear husband).
Good luck P
Oh my gosh and I was feeling guilty when I acquired/needed a washer from a hotel stay.
My one claim to fame. I'm taking lessons!

After 50 years of travel I have 2 pieces of acquired cutlery and I thought I was game; clearly a rank amateur.
Turkish airlines salt and pepper shakers.
MrsB1 really really liked those, would have been a 1st for her, but I was too scared and talked her out of it.
Edit, wasn't TK

I always thought my father was dreadful for 'acquiring' items as he travelled, but he was a mere amateur compared to some on AFF 🙀
It’s obviously more prevalent in some cultures. It was always a worry arriving at your hotel room to find not a mini bar list but the price of every item not bolted down in a relatively high end SE Asian hotel!

Meanwhile, I do have two AA mugs that fell into my carryon bag - two seperate flights - how clumsy.

Yes. And gym towels. And especially on cruise ships I um, now recall. Just a couple or five. I'm getting better at remembering.
Yes I still use the gym towel from a hotel in Boston quite a few years ago.
I also have four sets of VA salt and pepper shakers (the opera house sets), but I did ask and they were given to me,

And Room Service (although I draw the line at packing the trolley)!
Two things
- items from said trolley
- if ever challenged you can say OMG😱I accidently left plate/spoon/insert item here as I fixed myself a coffee whilst enjoying room service

Thai F Silk Blanket x2 ...acquired on separate trips ;)
Reminds me when UA first rolled out Polaris, with the Saks Fifth Avenue and what not accessories, including plush bedding and the like. Many people ended up... "souveniring"... the blankets, the pillows, etc. etc.

After a while FAs had to announce about what should be left on board, as well as be more vigilant to ensure any (or not many) such items weren't snuck off the aircraft.

Yeah. Likely they'd respond with 'are you Martine?' And I'd say - absolutely yes.
