Transiting KTI (Phnom Penh)

Haven't been since before COVID when I enjoyed the delights of the Rosewood, now I note that PNH has shifted to the new airport at KTI.

Does anyone know what KTI is like for transit? I have found a QR redemption from Europe to KTI, and was thinking of then buying a separate CX ticket to HKG.

QR policy should allow through check but I note some airports like MNL and those in Mainland China force you to clear immigration and customs to re-check bags even when checked through at originating port. Does anyone know about the situation at KTI?

Sorry, I can’t answer the specific questions (and probably the most important!) but KTI itself is pretty decent.

Just check if you need a visa to transfer if you have to enter but I suspect it’ll be reasonably efficient otherwise.

If you have access, the lounge CX uses is quite good.

From memory, Aussies qualify for visa on arrival and you just pay a fee?

You can do it online in advance also plus you need to lodge a ln e-arrival form within 7 days.
