transiting in Zurich

Hi all, i have 6 hours to kill when i get to zurich .

would there be enough time to get out of the airport and do something?

or should i not bother?

I would think that you do, yes. ZRH (at least, the bit past passport control) is a bit sterile for my taste - going through passport control and wandering over to the train station shouldn't take more than 15 minutes and then the train in to the city only takes 15 minutes or so.

I'd recommend making sure that you have at least an hour between reaching the airport and boarding time, so that you're not rushing to clear passport control and then clear security - when I went through (flying in whY, to a non-Schengen destination) it took something in the order of 45 minutes all up.
 
Six hours sitting around at ZRH will bore you half to death.

It's more than enough time to get into the city and have a bit of a poke around. You should get a good solid three or four hours in town.
