Hi all,

I'm looking to go to Khao Lak in May, flying in/out of coughet.

I have an option on the return leg to come home from coughet on J* Asia and link to QF at Singapore for the back to Aus leg. Time between J* Asia landing and QF taking off is 70 mins.

We'll be HLO - are we pushing our luck or what?

OOPS - Sorry about the typo for Singapore

I'd say if it's offered it's presumably legal - but would mean no Sin lounge time, due to the use of gate pens which you generally need to be in half an hour before.

Certainly wouldn't do it on separate tickets

I've done this twice and it has been no push at all. It is the usual gap when flying Qantas to coughet.

Khao Lak is really nice, where are you staying?

Transit time is fine if everything runs on time. Wouldn't do it on seperate tickets unless you don't mind last minute changes and want to maximise your holiday time.

Thanks all.

Not entirely sure where we're going to stay yet. There's several options that look good. I'm open to recommendations Cynicor :)

I think it is now a Pullman but we went a couple of times when it was a Sheraton. It was really nice for the price, and had all sorts of packages/deals with discounts on dining. I think it is now substantially larger than before but even then it had enough restaurants for us to eat on-property the whole time.
Khao Lak is so much nicer than coughet and it's close to Khao Sok and closer to diving and snorkelling. We organised a bunch of tours through a guy who owned "andaman adventures" or similar. He custom made a few for us but I think now they try to only do tours that include accommodation. Maybe chat to them if you are interested? We did a private guided rainforest/waterfall tour and also a private deep water solo/sea kayak tour.
