My daughter is flying by QF575 Syd-Perth and then QF077 Per-Sin on 3rd of Dec. IT gives her a transit time of 2hrs & 20mins. Can any of the forum members advise whether it is sufficient?

I would also like advise on whether Qantas in Syd will check luggage through to Singapore to save baggage collection & recheck at Perth.
Cheers..

Suresh,

Firstly, welcome to AFF.

2hr 20min is more than sufficient for a DOM-INT connection at PER. She should have her bags within 15min of landing, and it's simply a matter of following the signs to the terminal transfer bus.

The transfer bus departs every 15min, and from in front of the terminal. Check with Qantas to see if she's eligible for a free terminal transfer voucher, otherwise the service will cost AUD8.

A word of caution - check the digital display sign on the front of the bus before boarding. The same livery is used for both the terminal transfer bus & the long term carparks.

If she gets lost, simply approach a member of ground staff or Wilsons Security who police the front of the terminal.

As for baggage, QF will check her bags through to SIN and issue her onward boarding passes without a problem. Once she arrives at T1, she can go straight on through to Departure Immigration (up the escalators to L1, and turn right).

Hope this helps.
