I know that buying EK points is outrageous( $US35 per 1K)
and transferring not much better at $US25 per 1k min 2 k

but my friend is 500 points short of a biz class domestic. and I am thinking $US50 is questionably worth it.
but going thru the t and cs I see that transferred points have a 3 year lifespan.

How long are transferred Miles valid for?

Transferred Skywards Miles are valid for a minimum of 3 years from the date of transfer and will expire at the end of the receiving member’s month of birth on the third year.

but of course there is nothing there about expiring points only lasting the original time.
thought id throw it out there for anyone who has had that scenario for future knowledge of the board.
