Hey all,

if you saw my question in the loadings/availability thread, you'll know that we might end up scrapping our existing EK Y fare home (to spare my strained back 13.5 hours) and changing to a J fare on another airline. In particular, with CX... that assumes when we talk to the Emirates office in Paris tomorrow that they give us some massively over-priced option.

Having been through the Emirates terminal recently, I don't see how it's possible to collect luggage and move to a different terminal without having to go through immigration twice... any knowledge or experiences?

I'm aware that EK and CX have an interline agreement, but not sure we'd be covered in that situation?

As they are two separate bookings, you would need to show both on checkin for any hope of getting bags through checked, which is what would be required if you wished to avoid entering the UAE then checking in again at the other terminal.
