i know you can transfer points between family members - can you also transfer sc?

short & sweet, thanks NM. (unfortunately not the answer i wanted to hear ;))

Yes it was :). Normally we give new members a bit of a warm welcome. Perhaps NM didn't notice, or is having a bad day. (Don't we all!?) ;)

thanks for the warm welcome :)

looks like i'm going to pull up 5 (!) points short of gold at the end of this month... i was trying to figure out if there was any way of getting those last elusive points without splashing out on a flight.. it somehow seems extravagant to pay a couple of hundred dollars when i only need 5 points

Welcome gjh98!

For 5 SCs short, I'd definitely take a quick return flight (or re-route an existing flight to add a 10 SC leg). :)

I agree, the 12 months of comped Qantas Club (Shortened to QP on here) is well worth it!

Do you already have any flights booked/planned this month?

For example, a MEL-SYD saver will earn 10 SC's. For another $110 it can be booked as a Flexi fare and earn 20 SC's.

I have 2 returns already booked as flexi and one tentative, yet to be booked...maybe I'll bump up one leg from saver to flexi... good idea serfty!
